SARCNET @ Train and Hobby Show 2025
At the kind invitation of Richard VK3VRS, Julie VK3FOWL and Joe VK3YSP, provided their School Amateur Radio Club Network exhibition at Melbourne’s Train and Hobby Show. This well-organised show is held every year at Sandown Racecourse. It attracts many thousands of visitors, each day, over the long weekend in March.
Our stand featured everything for youngsters to get into Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), including kitsets, demonstrations and workshops.

Student STEM Project Demonstrations
STEM Workshops
This year we had four, free public workshops including:
- Electronics prototyping workshop
- Soldering practice workshop
- Microelectronics workshop - New with LCD Microscope
- Morse code workshop

STEM Workshops
This cutie, only four and a half years old, successfully completed our Electronics Prototyping Workshop! We always love to see the expression on our student's faces when the two blue LEDs start flashing. They can't believe they made it work and can't wait to show mum and dad.
